Message from the President of Kushiro National College of Technology, Takeshi Kishinami

Welcome to this Website.

Kushiro National College of Technology is a higher educational institution for those who wish to become engineers. Studies at Kosen start right after the end of junior high school education. However, the institution is not a standard high school, but a five-year-long educational organization combining high school and two-year college education, in which students are to study through curricular interwoven with liberal arts subjects and specialty subjects required to become experts in engineering.

The curricula are well designed with their emphasis on experiments and laboratory training, so that students will acquire specialized knowledge and practical skills and develop creative ability to produce the new.

The college also aims to nurture well-rounded character and cooperative mind in the students through the dormitory life, club or circle activities, student-body activities, the college festivals and athletic meetings and volunteer activities, as well as through studies on specialized fields of technology.

You will have many future options after graduation from Kosen: taking a job, pursuing further education at the advanced courses at Kosen, transferring to other universities as third-graders. You may choose to go up to a post-graduate school as well as to seek employment after finishing the advanced courses. Some five-thousand graduates actively perform in their communities in both Japan and overseas.
