2022 Report
Four exchange students paid a courtesy call on Mayor of Kushiro Ebina.
Four exchange students from Turku University of Applied Science in Finland arrived at our school on May (Monday) 9, 2022. We paid a courtesy call on Mayor of Kushiro Ebina on May 11 (Wednesday) with Principal of National Institute of Technology, Kushiro College Otsuka and Chairman of the International Exchange Committee Suzuki.
After introducing the exchange students by themselves, we talked pleasantly about their plans for the three-month stay, their impressions of Japan, the climate of Kushiro and Finland, and the Finnish sauna and food in Kushiro. Mayor Ebina said, "I want you to learn much at a wonderful school and experience the culture of Kushiro". The visit was in a peaceful atmosphere from beginning to end.
The exchange students presented Finnish pot stands, etc. as souvenirs to Mayor Ebina, and the mayor presented the Kushiro stationery, etc. as a token.
Exchange students are going to stay in Kushiro until August 5th (Friday) to learn about the engineering and Japanese culture.
